MAKING MAINBOCHER BRAND + EXHIBIT COLLATERAL

Client: The Chicago History Museum’s Making Mainbocher: The First American Couturier exhibition explored the life and legacy of a remarkable man from the west side of Chicago and his journey to becoming the first American couturier. The exhibit ran from August 2016–October 2017.

Client challenge: Create a logo, marketing, and promotional pieces to complement the exhibition design created by the Museum.

Our approach: Mainbocher established his own fashion house in 1929, gained recognition for his sophisticated couture garments, and had been called “the designer of the 30s.” The logo and campaign needed to be emblematic of his designs at that time in history and carry on in his style of elegance and taste.

Services: Logo Design + Program Design + Social Media + Digital Campaign + Outdoor + Print Advertising + Transit Advertising + Posters + Promotional Items + Content Experience

Industry: Arts + Culture / Museum / Fashion
